Wine Auction raised a record-breaking $9.5 million.
..."Competition was stiff for dozens of other auction
offerings. For example, Adams (the same Adams that bought the 1999 Diamond

"Top wine lot of the day was a rare collection of Diamond Creek
Cabernet Sauvignon from the tiny Lake Vineyard.
A 9-liter bottle of the 1987 vintage, coupled with magnums from the
harvests 1992, 1994 and 1996, brought in a top bid of $130,000 from
Red Adams, of Morgan City, La. "
